Karen Sue Jones

November 8, 1959 - September 7, 2024

Karen Sue Jones, age 69 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Saturday morning September 7, 2024. She was born in Bogalusa, alongside her twin sister, on November 8, 1954. Karen was a graduate of Enon High School Class of 1973, which coincidently was the last ever graduating class of Enon High. She later had a nearly 30 year career as a seamstress at Rutter Rex in Franklinton and more recently worked in the Deli of the Shell station in Barker’s Corner. Karen shared a special bond with her sister and they lived together on the family property their entire lives. She enjoyed quilting, reading and going to the movies. She also liked working in her flower garden, mowing her grass and taking good care of her yard. When she wasn’t busy around their property, Karen enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.

Survived by: Twin Sister: Ellen Lou Jones of Franklinton; Sister and Brother in law: Anita Faye and Dana Bergeron of Gray, LA; Sister in law: Betty Jones of Enon; Nephews and Nieces: Dana Bergeron, Jr. and Connie Bergeron and their daughter Chasity, Christopher and Stacey Bergeron and their son Aiden, Leigh Ann and Clint O’Keefe and their son Owen, Amanda Jones; Special Cousin: June Stafford of Franklinton

She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford Robert Jones and Lexie Stafford Jones, brothers Gary Paul Jones and Richard Ellis Jones.

A memorial service will be planned in the near future.
