Two Booked Into Tangipahoa Parish Jail Following 2-Month Investigation

Jasmane Jones, age 36, and Mayha Tucker, age 26, were each booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on Friday (August 16, 2024) on one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Hydrocodone, and Ecstasy and one count of Possession of CDS while in the Presence of a Minor, as well as two counts of Possession of a Firearm while Possessing a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Jones has an additional two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

The arrests comes after a 2-month-long investigation. TPSO Narcotics detectives, with assistance from Hammond Police and Ponchatoula Police, conducted a search warrant on a home on 4th Street in Ponchatoula and discovered six pounds of marijuana, ecstasy and hydrocodone as well as two handguns, several iPhones and more than $4,000 in cash. All of the items were in common areas accessible to a 4-year-old child present in the home. Tucker, who was in the home at the time of the search warrant, was taken into custody then. Jones was arrested during a traffic stop.
