Lee Road
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises north shore motorists of emergency cross-drain work scheduled this weekend in northern Covington, which will restrict access to LA 437 (Lee Rd.) north of the Bogue Falaya. Motorists and emergency vehicles will not have access during the repair and an alternate route will be required. All work is weather permitting.
DOTD crews will replace a significant drainage cross-drain on LA 437 between Wildwood Ln. and Mulberry Grove Ln. beginning at 6 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024. This will result in a half-mile closure scheduled to last through Sunday.
Isabel Swamp Road
This advisory has been updated today (August 15, 2024).
LA 3292 (Isabel Swamp Road) Eastbound and Westbound will be closed (full closure) for road construction beginning August 20, 2024 until September 28, 2024. The closurre will start at LA 16 and end at LA 24. There will not be any through traffic access on LA 3292 (Isabel Swamp Road).
Motorists and emergency vehicles will need to use LA 16, LA 21 and LA 40 as a detour route.

Travelers can also find information regarding road closures and traffic by visiting www.511la.org or by dialing 511 from their telephone and saying the route or region they are seeking information. Out-of-state travelers can access the system by calling 1-888-ROAD-511 (1-888-762-3511).
