Joint Investigation Leads to Child Exploitation Arrests in St. Tammany & Jefferson Parishes

The Louisiana State Police reports that, over the last two days, the Louisiana State Police-Special Victim’s Unit (LSP-SVU), working in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), the Madisonville Police Department, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, arrested two individuals on charges related to child sexual exploitation.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of 35-year-old Uri Parra Gonzalez of Slidell and 31-year-old Gregory Wright of Belle Chasse. Each individual was charged with LRS 14:81 – Indecent behavior with juveniles and LTS 14:81.3 – Computer-aided solicitation of a minor. Gonzalez was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail, and Wright was booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center. These cases remain under investigation.

LSP-SVU works to rescue and seek justice for victims of child exploitation and human trafficking. We partner with local, state, and federal agencies and focus on public education. Assistance from the public is crucial in identifying suspects accused of these crimes and is urged to report any suspicious or criminal activity. The Louisiana State Police online reporting system is available to the public through an anonymous reporting form that is submitted to the appropriate investigators.
