Mrs. Betty Rose M Collum, age 98, passed away on July 2, 2024, in the comfort of her home with family. She was a long-time resident of Bogalusa and member of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa. Mrs. Collum enjoyed bowling, bingo, and puzzles. She was known as the best cook around!
She is survived by two sons: George Collum (and significant other, Marsh Hunt) and Donald Collum (Pam); six grandchildren: Holly Cotton (Paul), John Alan Collum (Victoria), Veronica Smith, Matthew Clint Collum, Kevin Busby, and Allen Busby (Cherie); eight great-grandchildren; one brother: Robert Malley; and a dear friend: Vivian Jenkins.
Mrs. Collum was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Mr. Levell Collum; one daughter: Linda Busby; a granddaughter: Brandy Rinehart; and one brother: John A. Malley, Jr.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home proudly serves the Collum Family. Visitation will start on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 10AM until time of service at 11AM. Interment will immediately follow the service at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa, LA. Bro. Josh from First Baptist Church will officiate all services. Interment will be at Ponemah Cemetery.
