Carol Williams Baughman

Carol Williams Baughman, age 84 and of Bogalusa, Louisiana, passed away on July 20, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Bogalusa on December 26, 1939. Carol was a devoted and hardworking individual who cherished her love for Christ and her family above all. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Carol retired as a manager from K & B Drug Store, where she began as a Cosmetician. Her hobbies she enjoyed were painting, flower arranging and puttering in her flower garden.
Carol’s life was marked by her generous spirit and dedication to her loved ones. She is survived by her children, Brian (Deborah) Baughman, Deborah (Gary) Blackledge, Terry Baughman, and Tina Breland. Siblings are Jesse M. Williams, Sylvia Johnson, Gloria (Phillip) Lupo. Grandchildren are Michael (Elysia) McMillan, Bradley (Raven) Baughman, Blake (Stacey) Baughman, Katie (Odie) Hughes, Darla (Daniel) Kopelman, and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Victoria, Kevin, Brycen, Elizabeth, Parker, Anniston, Falynn, Hampton, Sloane, and Bailey. Also survived by brother-in-law Joseph Johnson and family friend Barbara Hopper. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, cherished by a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James McKelvin and Dorothy Nelson Williams; son, Kelvin Bernard; sister, Winifred Crain Johnson; sister-in-law, Sarah Williams; brothers-in-law, George Clinton Blake Jr. and Allen Johnson, and nephew, Gregory Crain.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, July 22,2024 and 8:30 am until 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home, located at 216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, Louisiana.
Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Derek Dantin at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home, on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, beginning at 10:00 am.
Pallbearers are Michael McMillan, Bradley Baughman, Blake Baughman, Brycen Baughman, Kevin McMillan, Parker Baughman, Odie Hughes, and Daniel Kopelman.
Honorary pallbearers are Gary Blackledge and Tyler McMillan.
The burial will be at Ponemah Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her son, Kelvin.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fair City Health and Rehab, 2000 Main Street, Franklinton, La. 70438.
Poole Ritchie Funeral Home is assisting the family arrangements.
