Rita Faye Jones

September 28, 1968 - July 13, 2024

Rita Jones, age 55, gained her wings on July 13, 2024, at her home in Franklinton, LA. She was a kind, sweet soul who loved people. Anytime you ever seen her, she would always have a smile on her face. Rita enjoyed spending time at church and the activity center, where she was able to love on people.

She is survived by one brother: Jr Jones (Janice); two sisters: Loretta Cassidy and Pat Jones; her sole caregiver since 2003 and sister-in-law: Debra Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents: Elvin “Runt” and Verda Jones; one brother: Billy Ray Jones; and three sisters: Audrey Whitney, Sherri Jones, and Connie Sue Magee.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. The family will plan a private burial at a later date.
