The report states, “We began our audit after receiving numerous complaints regarding the City’s use of public funds. The procedures performed during this audit included: (1) interviewing employees and officials of the City; (2) interviewing other persons, as appropriate; (3) examining selected documents and records of the City and third parties; (4) reviewing the City’s home rule charter and policies; and (5) reviewing applicable state laws and regulations.”
The report indicates that a copy of the report has been submitted to the Governor, to the Attorney General, the District Attorney for the 22nd Judicial District of Louisiana, and others as required by law.
