District Attorney Collin Sims reports that on June 19, 2024, a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted 23-year-old Jada Rivera of Slidell for one count of Second degree murder. The case involves the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Jovan Brown on September 3, 2023.
Detective Kyle Taylor with the Slidell Police Department headed the investigation. Assistant District Attorney Ronald Gracianette presented the case to the grand jury.
