Louis Warren "Jaguar" Lawson
August 24, 1928 - June 8, 2024
Louis Warren "Jaguar" Lawson, age 95 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Saturday June 8, 2024 at Fair City Health and Rehab. He was a native of Wisconsin and former longtime resident of Houma, LA before moving to Washington Parish over 35 years ago. Louis was a truck driver all his life, working with Marvin Bennett Trucking for many years before retiring. He had the CB handle “Jaguar” which became his permanent nickname to all the people he met. Jaguar liked to watch TV news programs and speak about the current events. He always loved spending time with his family and he adored his grandchildren.
Survived by: Wife: Ernestine Jones Lawson; Niece: Hart Bernaski of California; 4 Step-sons and Daughters in law: Greg and Brenda Jones, Tony and Robin Jones, Jeff and Christy Jones, Michael and Frances Jones; 2 Step-daughters and Sons in law: Danette and Kevin Jenkins, Lawanda and Todd Duenckel; Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by step-son Mark Jones, his parents and other family members
A graveside funeral service will be held in the Springhill-Magee Cemetery at 3:00 pm Tuesday June 11th with Bro. Don McDaniel officiating.
