Frank Chandler, Jr.

November 20, 1957 - June 18, 2024

Frank Chandler Jr, better known to many simply as “Boo”, was the second born child to parents Frank Chandler, Sr. and Yvonne Chandler on November 20, 1957 in Bastrop, Louisiana. Boo transitioned on the early morning of June 18, 2024 at his home in Franklinton, Louisiana. 

Boo was a Franklinton High School graduate, Class of 1976. While in high school, he was a star football running back. Outside of being quite the athlete, he was very quiet and kept to himself. He continued to possess those same qualities throughout his life. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for three years. Life beyond the military consisted of being a hard worker, working in many different facets - mainly concrete work. For many years he lived in Atlanta, Georgia before returning to his childhood hometown of Frankinton in 2009. 

Boo will forever be missed by his three children, Roddrick (Danielle) Gaines of Chalmette, LA, Brian Warren of Baltimore, MD, and Jada Chandler of Upper Marlboro, MD, his 4 grandchildren, Jujuan Taylor, Christiana Gaines, Kherrinton Gaines and Roddrick Gaines Jr.  his siblings, Alvin Chandler, Robin Chandler, Beverly Chandler and Ronnie Chandler all of Franklinton, LA and Shuvalla Chamberlain of Atlanta, GA., long term partner Jacqueline Daniels and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Chandler, Sr, and Yvonne Chandler.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the Southeast Louisiana VA Cemetery  34888 Grantham College Dr, Slidell, LA 70460.
