Loyd Ray "Hippie" Seal

January 21, 1944 - May 19, 2024

Loyd Ray Seal, age 80, passed away in Angie, LA, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a life-long resident of Angie, LA, where he and his wife raised their children. Mr. Loyd spent most of his time on the front porch smoking and drinking coffee. Mr. Loyd was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his devoted, loving wife of 56 years: Linda R. Seal; three daughters: Laura (Mickey) Seal Thomas, Julie (Kendall) Thomas; and Margie Seal; seven grandchildren: Rachel (Josh) Thomas, Emily (Cody) Beall, Ashley (Zack Davis) Seal, Vince Seal, Thanie (Charles) Martin, Chase Thomas, and Sarah Knight; six great-grandchildren: Lauren “Lu-Lu” Thomas, Addison Simpson, Conner Beall, Cooper Beall, Cole Seal, and Wyatt Seal; two brothers: Wilson Seal and Milton Seal; one sister: Juanita Stringer; and numerous other family and friends.

Mr. Loyd was preceded in death by his parents: William Talmage and Pollie Seal; and five brothers: Vernon Seal, Alvin Seal, Earl Seal, James Seal, and Norman Seal.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Tuesday, May 21, 2024, a visitation will take place at 10AM in the funeral home chapel until time of service at 11AM. Bro. Keith Branch will officiate service.
