Lillian Magee Bickham

Lillian Magee Bickham was born May 7, 1936 to the late John Magee and Emily Warren Magee in Franklinton, LA. Lillian was a darling daughter, devoted wife, dedicated mother, caring sister, loving grandmother, great grandmother, amazing aunt, marvelous mother-in-law, and a great friend. Her presence brought so much joy to any room she entered.

Lillian was a devoted wife to Oscar L. Bickham, whom she married on November 3, 1963. Married for 60 years, to their union, they had four children, Jerome "Jay" Bickham, Christil (Gregory) Alexander, Michelle (Michael) Wheeler, and Chantelle (Marc) Plummer. Lillian's memory will be cherished by her three sisters, Mildred Winters, Freddie Taylor, and Iona Quinn, all residing in New Orleans, LA.

Lillian was a woman of strong faith who loved God and lived her life according to His purpose. Her gifts of compassion and service to others were exhibited throughout her life. In addition to being a servant of God, she enjoyed her favorite pastimes, cooking and tending to her garden. She definitely had a green thumb! Lillian lived in New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  She then relocated to Flower Mound, TX, where she spent her latter years surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed attending their academic awards programs, dance recitals, and ball games, as well as witnessing their graduations and proms.
