Yvonne Margaret Crowe

September 22, 1927 - April 30, 2024

Yvonne Margaret Crowe, age 96 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Tuesday evening April 30, 2024 at Forest Manor Nursing Home in Covington. She was born in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica on September 22, 1927 before moving to the United States as a child. Yvonne was a former member of Canaan Baptist Church and had been a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was always active in her Sunday School class and loved her church family. Yvonne offered child care at her home for many years before going to work at TG&Y and later the bakery and seafood departments of Winn-Dixie for many years. She also was a clerk for Stafford Oil Company for a time. Yvonne enjoyed making different types of crafts and playing Bingo. She loved going to weddings and she always had a special place in her heart for babies and young children. She was forever a loving wife, mother and grandmother that cherished the time spent with her large family.

Survived by: 4 Daughters and Sons in law: Debra and Danny Smith of Tylertown, MS, Yvette and Marc Brewer of Covington, Dorinda Magnuson and James Guay of Ocean Springs, MS, Coylean and Al Schloegel of Isabel; 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Wesley Crowe of Franklinton, Coy Crowe, Jr. and Danielle Crowe of Simpsonville, KY; 2 Daughters in law: Milky Crowe, Janet Decoir; 14 Grandchildren and Spouses; 14 Great-grandchildren; 4 Great-great-grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Agnes Santos, Yvette Taylor; 2 Brothers and a Sister in law: Edmond Coblentz, Walter and Ivonne Coblentz; Sister in law: Laphate Crowe; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members

She was preceded in death by sons Clifford Crowe, Kenneth Crowe, husband Coy Crowe, Sr., mother Inez McGuiness Coblentz, father Henry Meyer, sisters Eugenie “Jenny” Leon, Elsie Odin, brother in law Freddie Santos, sister in law Elsa Coblentz and many other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Saturday May 4th from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Saturday with Dr. Gene Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are grandsons Tom Crowe, Hunter Bickham, Jordan Gilmore, Austin Crowe, Kevin Crowe, Shawn Crowe, Jeremy Smith, Ken Crowe, Coy Wayne Crowe
