Suspect Identity Sought in Boat City Burglary

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is asking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect of a business burglary at a Hammond marine dealer. Sheriff Daniel Edwards says during the early morning hours of March 24, 2024, a male subject entered the property of Boat City USA on West Club Deluxe Road in Hammond where he attempted to steal an ATV. The subject is captured on several security cameras walking around the property.

Although the subject did not successfully steal anything, detectives are working this case as a burglary. Louisiana state law constitutes burglary as "the unauthorized entering of any dwelling, vehicle, watercraft, or other structure...with the intent to commit a felony or any theft therein."

Sheriff Edwards asks anyone able to identify the suspect, or with knowledge of the incident to contact Detective Russell Walker at 985-902-2045, OR if you wish to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa’s anonymous tip line at 1.800.554.5245 or visit www.tangicrimestoppers.com and click on the P3 Tips icon or Submit A Tip!
