Monday (April 1, 2024) afternoon, shortly before 5:00 p.m., the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) requested assistance from the Louisiana State Police – Bureau of Investigations to investigate a deputy-involved shooting that occurred on Madison Lane in Ponchatoula. Investigators are working to process the scene and gather further information.
One subject was shot and pronounced deceased on the scene. No deputies were harmed during the incident. This is an active investigation and further information will be released when it becomes available.
