Mildred Marie Sheridan Seal

December 14, 1938 - April 8, 2024

Mildred Marie Sheridan Seal, age 85 and a resident of Pine, passed away early Monday morning April 8, 2024 at East Jefferson Medical Center. She was retired after a long career as a medical records supervisor with the State of Louisiana Charity Hospital in Bogalusa. Earlier in her career, she worked in the State Capital building in Baton Rouge for the Mineral Board. Mildred was a longtime active member of Pine First Baptist Church, where she volunteered for many church events and was well-known for the delicious dressing she prepared for countless church meals. She loved working in her flower gardens and watching the pretty birds and squirrels feed in her yard each day. Mildred was a big LSU Sports fan and she had several Australian Shepherds that she cared deeply for through the years. She was always a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survived by: Husband of 68 years: Don Seal of Pine; 3 Sons and Daughters in law: Jeff and Ann Seal, Mike and Cyndi Seal, Greg and Tracy Seal all of Pine; Grandchildren and Spouses: Glen and Bethany Seal, Abby and Aaron Herren, Kirby and Glenn Shanahan, Parker and Abigayle Seal, Kasie and Loren Creel, Ryan and Victoria Seal, Dylan Seal, Camrin Seal, Kassi Marie Seal, Madelyn Seal; Great-grandchildren: Kylie, Kale, Kase, Tucker, Maisyn, Kingston and an expected great-grandchild Kaleb; Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents Alton Sheridan and Rena Rester Sheridan, a sister Joyce Carter, brother Milford Sheridan, father in law and mother in law J.Y. and Edith Seal, brother in law and sister in law Harold and Sarah Seale and other family members.

Visitation will be at Pine First Baptist Church (27043 Hwy. 62) on Thursday April 11th from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 1:00 pm Thursday with Rev. David Easterling and Rev. Harold Gaddy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
