Carla Nicole “Nicki” Luper West

December 24, 1981 - March 7, 2024

Carla Nicole “Nicki” Luper West, age 42 and a resident of Pine, passed away Thursday morning March 7, 2024 at Riverside Medical Center. She was born on December 24, 1981 and always had playful arguments with her sisters about her unique birthdate. Nicki attended Pine High School and later worked in the medical billing field in Covington, Franklinton and Bogalusa. As a young girl, she played softball for many years and was a member of the Pine Explorer Post 254. Nicki always had a smile on her face, despite any troubles she faced, and was a joy to be around. She adored her family most of all, spending time and visiting with them every day. Nicki was forever a devoted and loving grandmother and cherished all the time she had with her grandchildren.

Survived by: Husband: Joshua West of Pine; Daughter: Madison “Maddie Grace” Martin and George Stewart of Pine; Grandchildren: Oaklynn Stewart, Ayden Stewart; Mother: Mary Ann Cutrer Luper and Gregg Asarito of Pine; Sisters and Brothers in law: Michelle and John Stafford of Pine, Shannon and Danny McMillan of Bush; Cousin and Best Friend: Edie Baham; Mother in law: Julie Claudehill; Also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and many friends

She was preceded in death by a daughter Christa Nicole Martin, father Carlos Luper, grandparents Carl and Mary Luper, grandmother Hilda Sharp, grandfather Clem Cutrer.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Sunday March 10th from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 pm Sunday.
