Vergie Thomas Nolan
March 5, 1951 - March 24, 2024
Vergie Thomas Nolan, age 73, passed away on March 24, 2024, at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa, LA. She was a life-long resident of Washington Parish. Mrs. Nolan devoted her life to educating children for over 30 years. She taught at St. Tammany Parish Schools, Washington Parish Schools, but mostly of her career was spent in Bogalusa School System.
Mrs. Nolan is survived by one son: Perry Matthew Nolan (Kristy); a daughter: Crystal Nolan; five grandchildren: Sadie Nolan, Tristen Nolan, Bethany Yarbrough, Jacob, Yarbrough, and Lilly Yarbrough; a brother: Perry Joe Thomas (JoAnn); one sister: Vickie Lynn Fontenot (Craig); and a host nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Perry and Vivian “Doll” Thomas.
The family would like to thank Enhabit Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home proudly serves the Nolan family. Friday, March 29, 2024, a visitation will start at 9AM until time of service at 11AM. Bro. Otha Schillings will officiate services including the interment that will follow the service at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
