Canaan Harold Curtis

October 21, 2006 - March 17, 2024

Canaan Harold Curtis, age 17 and of Gillsburg, Mississippi, passed away on March 17th, 2024, at Southwest Regional Medical Center.

Canaan was born in Hammond, Louisiana on October 21, 2006, to Shade Curtis and Cheya Curtis.

Canaan was a loving son and brother. He loved everyone he came in contact with. He enjoyed video games. He loved his truck and his speakers. He also enjoyed his music and spending time with his closest family and friends.

He loved working, making, and spending money. He had the biggest heart you could ask for. He was known by many and loved by all. He will be greatly missed by the ones that knew him best.

Canaan is survived by his parents, Shade and Cheya Curtis, his two brothers, Channing, and Cort Curtis. His grandmothers are Sylvia Curtis and Chaney Cummings. His great-grandmother Ruby Ferguson, his aunts, uncles, and cousins: Thomas Curtis and wife Tooter Curtis, daughters Chesley Curtis, Colby Curtis and wife Brittany Curtis, daughter Chloe Curtis, Lee Parrish and wife Rebekah Parrish, daughter Abbie Parrish and son Mason Parrish, David Parrish and wife Cherida Parrish, son David Parrish Jr as well as numerous family and friends.

Canaan was preceded in death by his Grandfathers Charlie Curtis, Harold Theriot, and Eddie Cummings, Great Grand Father Huey Bankston, Great Grandmother Opal Bankston, Great-Great Grandmother Helen Curtis.
