Harold Eugene Penton
January 14, 1930 - March 4, 2024
Harold Eugene Penton, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away at his home on Monday morning in Bogalusa, LA at the age of 94. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a longtime member of Main Street Baptist Church of Bogalusa, LA.
He is survived by his sons, Harold Keith Penton and Kenneth E. (Samantha Sharp) Penton, all of Bogalusa, LA; 7 grandchildren, Carey S. Gendron, Kyle (Melissa Spears) Gendron, Brandon (Melanie), Thomas (Michaela) Penton, Kayla Penton Bond, Taylor Lott, and Gavin Goings; 8 great grandchildren; son in law, Don Gendron; sister, Hilda Merle Ryals of Slidell, LA; Also survived by other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Sorrell Penton; daughter, Sandra Penton Gendron; parents, Johnny and Carlie Penton; uncle, Tommy Penton.
A Service will be held in the Chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Milton Kliesch and Rev. Jimmy Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Peace Cemetery in Ponemah Cemetery, Bogalusa, LA. Military graveside rites will be performed by Magic City American Legion Post #24.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10 :00 A.M. until service time in the chapel.
