Charles E. Thomas

December 18, 1954 - March 16, 2024

Charles E. Thomas, age 69, passed away on March 16, 2024, at his home in Bogalusa surrounded by family. He was a life-long resident of Bogalusa and attended Palestine Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mrs. Melanie C. Thomas; one daughter: Melissa (Gary) Thompson; four grandchildren: Baylor (Molly) Thompson, Hailey Thompson (Brennon Fletcher), Madalyn Thompson (Caplain Sorrel); four great-grandchildren: Brinlee Fletcher, Nash Fletcher, Lola Thompson, and Livy Thompson; a sister: Paulette Rankin; a special friend: Kathleen and Reuben Passman; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and other friends.

Mr. Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Tasha Thomas; and his parents: Essie and Earline Thomas.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will start in the funeral home chapel on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 5PM until 8PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 9AM until time of service at 11AM. Interment will immediately follow at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Fred Brumfield will officiate all services.
