Roderick "Rah-Rah" Toomer

February 24, 1961 - February 10, 2024

On February 26, 1981 at Charity Hospital in Bogalusa, La, Roderick Donell Toomer also known as “Rah Rah” was born to the union of Norma and Robert Toomer. 

Roderick grew up in Franklinton, La, where he attended Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. He went to Franklinton High School. 

Roderick leaves to cherish 2 sons, Thaddeus (Sandrica) Jefferson of Gulfport, MS, and D’ontrae (Zhymerial) Jefferson of Folsom, LA; 2 daughters, Imari and Shalond Jefferson; 14 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Kenneth McClain, Robert Toomer, Jr., both of Louisiana, and Jonathan Lee of Texas; 6 sisters, Rhonda Elzey, Monique Toomer, Patricia(Deon) Gallow all of Franklinton, LA, Barbara (Lapatrick) Nimox of Fernwood, MS, Patsy Ard of Magnolia, MS, and Kimberly Ard of Summit, MS; 2 special friend, Mildred Pittman, and Shelisa Jefferson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Roderick is preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley McClain and Rayemell Toomer; cousin, Verchica Thompson; grandchildren, Brooklyn and Braiden Jefferson; stepfather, Kenneth Ard; a brother, Kerry Ard.

A visitation will be held on Saturday,  February 17, 2024 from 11:00AM - 1:00PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 2000 Washington Street, Franklinton, LA 70438. Interment - Greenback Cemetery.
