The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is asking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect of a residential burglary in the Spring Creek Community of Kentwood. Sheriff Daniel Edwards says on January 8, 2024, deputies responded to an address on Highway 1054 in reference to a burglary in progress just before 2:00 PM.

As seen in the security footage, the homeowner's doorbell camera shows an unknown white male wearing a brown Carhartt jacket and blue jeans walking across the porch and making entry into her residence. As the suspect began to enter the residence, the voice of the homeowner through the doorbell camera scared the subject and he attempted to rip the camera from the door frame.

While deputies were enroute, the suspect was seen leaving the residence in a dark blue Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 with no license plate. Detectives say the same vehicle has been seen at other homes in the area, as reported by citizens of the Spring Creek community.

Sheriff Edwards asks anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect to contact Sergeant Wylie Foster at 985-748-3337, OR if you wish to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa’s anonymous tip line at 1.800.554.5245 or visit www.tangicrimestoppers.com and click on the P3 Tips icon or Submit A Tip! You may be eligible for a cash reward.
