Josephine Newkirk

Mrs. Josephine was born September 11, 1948, to Frank (Rose) Newkirk in Bogalusa, La. She departed this life on December 20, 2023, at the age of seventy-five at her residence. Josephine loved her children, and for the utmost, especially her grandchildren. She loved walking, visiting her family, watching T.V., and drinking coffee. Her favorite song was” Soon and very soon.”
She is preceded in death by her parents: Frank Newkirk, and Rose Newkirk, a son Emmit Newkirk; brothers Jerry Newkirk, and James Newkirk. One sister Betty Newkirk.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter Rosalind Newkirk, and eight grandchildren: Tanekia Newkirk, Emmitt Newkirk, Za’cheon Morris, Raven Morris, Joe’neisha Ovide, Joseph Ovide, Ja’kyren, and Kayden Morris.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 9:00AM - 11:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Linza Ray Cotton - Pastor Officiating. Interment - Mosses Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
