Sylvia Diane Raborn

June 28, 1949 - December 12, 2023

Sylvia Diane Raborn, age 74 and of Bogue Chitto, MS and formerly of the East Fork Community, MS, passed away December 12, 2023 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Brookhaven.

Visitation will be Friday December 15, 2023 at East Fork Baptist Church from 9:30 AM until services at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in the East Fork Cemetery with Rev. Mike Alexander and Rev. Carl Mason officiating.  Hartman Jones Funeral Home will handle arrangements.  Pallbearers will be Josh Watts, Floyd Sharp, Payton Watts, Jamie Raquet, George Gore and Jimmy Burns.

She was born June 28, 1949 in Magnolia, MS to the late Barbara Burris Raborn and Wyman Raborn.

Diane worked at numerous dairy farms as a milkmaid for 30 years. She later retired from the LSU Agricultural Experiment Station in Franklinton, LA.  She was a longtime member of the East Fork Baptist Church in Amite County.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents O.E. and Hilda Burris; Seab and Euna Raborn.

She is survived by her sisters Camille Newman of East Fork; Cathy Watts of Bogue Chitto; nephew Josh Watts (Tiffany Vicknair) of Franklinton, LA; niece Melissa Raquet (Jamie) of Covington, LA; great nephews Floyd Sharp (Kim) of Lacombe, LA; Payton Watts of Franklinton, LA;  great niece Madison Watts of Franklinton, LA; great great nephews Rhett and Wyatt Sharp of Lacombe, LA; and numerous other relatives and friends.
