Jerry L. Duncan

February 28, 1944 - December 8, 2023

Jerry L. Duncan, age 79 and a resident of Pine, passed away Friday night December 8, 2023 at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner. He was a heavy equipment operator working in the road construction industry for many years and also operated a dairy farm. Jerry loved farming his property while working his cows and taking care of his chickens, goats and other animals. He enjoyed gardening and hunting, including running Beagles earlier in life. Jerry was a great storyteller and liked visiting with the people he met, never ever meeting a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with James and Charlotte Ladner, going to auctions and flea markets, as well as doing jobs in the work shop. He truly loved the Lord and served as a minister of the gospel. Jerry was a visiting preacher at countless churches around the area and he had the blessing of being the pastor of the newly formed home mission, Larose Pentecostal Church, which is still active today and later served at Mathews Pentecostal Church.
