Christmas Bandit Wanted in Dollar General Theft

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is asking the public's assistance in identifying a shoplifting suspect from a Dollar General store.

Sheriff Daniel Edwards says on December 16, 2023, a black male entered the Dollar General store on Pumpkin Center Road around 9:30 PM and proceeded to fill a shopping cart with Christmas Toys and other Christmas related items. The suspect then left the store with the items, passing all points of sale and exited the front door.

The male loaded the stolen items into the rear seat of a red Dodge Charger with no license plate, which was seen backed into the handicapped area. The suspect is then seen entering the passenger seat as the vehicle leaves.

Sheriff Edwards asks anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect to contact Detective Earl McFarland at 985-902-2043, OR Crime Stoppers if you wish to remain anonymous.
