Frances Magee Miller

October 10, 1934 - November 4, 2023

Frances Magee Miller, age 89 and a resident of Mount Hermon, died Saturday morning November 4, 2023 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a third grade teacher at Mt. Hermon School for 33 years, mentoring countless young students through the years. Frances enjoyed painting, completing many beautiful paintings that she placed in the Fine Arts building at the Washington Parish Fair each year. She loved attending the Fair every October and visiting with all the people she met. Frances enjoyed spending time with her family and going camping with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Donna and Mike Palombo of Baton Rouge; Son: Stephen Miller of Mt. Hermon; 2 Grandchildren and a Spouse: Michelle and Hayden Miller, Mallory Hebert; 3 Great-granddaughters: Mackenzie, Brooklyn, Kennedie; Sister: Wilkie Magee; Brother: Russell Magee; Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Miller, parents Albert Ray Magee, Sr. and Cleo Foil Magee, sister and brother in law Jackie and Wendell Smith, brother and sister in law Ray and Ann Magee and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday November 7th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Wednesday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Wednesday with Dr. Joe Baugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Magee Family Cemetery.
