Myrna Bulloch Schilling
August 21, 1942 - November 1, 2023
Myrna Schilling, age 81 and a resident of Mount Hermon, passed away at Lakeview Hospital on Nov. 1st. Myrna was the most loving and giving soul to all who knew her. She was a 1960 graduate of Franklinton High School, and she always enjoyed the friendships with classmates. She worked at Mt. Hermon School for many years as cafeteria manager, enjoying daily interaction with students and faculty. She then opened Jack and Jill Daycare in Franklinton, where she loved on many babies and children. For the last several years before retiring, she worked at the Washington Parish Clerk of Court office. Myrna was a faithful member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir, and she was always eager to prepare delicious food for church events and showers. She was also an active member of the Mt. Hermon Ladies Ruritan Club.
Myrna was so proud of her family, and she never missed an opportunity to share her love. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow up and attending their activities. You could always hear her cheering (and coaching) from the baseball bleachers, football stands, or the basketball gym. She also loved weekend nights with grandson Max and their standing dinner date for pizza at Brooks Cafe.
