Tyrus Prescott, age 29 and of the Slidell-area, has been arrested on an attempted murder charge following a stabbing incident which occurred Saturday (November 4, 2023)) morning at a Slidell-area hotel.
Shortly before noon, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a hotel in 5800 block of Yaupon Drive in reference to a stabbing. Detectives with the STPSO Major Crimes Unit learned two individuals became engaged in an altercation which resulted in one man sustaining numerous stab wounds. That man was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
Prescott, the other individual, was taken into custody and booked on the charges of Attempted Second-degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
