Kristen Marie Rome

August 29, 1988 - September 19, 2023

In loving memory of Kristen Marie Rome, a beloved mother, daughter, and “Shew-Shew.” Kristen passed away unexpectedly at the age of 35. Now soaring high and no longer in pain and suffering. She is Forever loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Kristen Marie Rome was born in Bogalusa, La to Francis J. Rome III and April Dawn McDonald Rome on August 29, 1988.

Kristen is preceded in death by her father, Francis J. Rome III; her brother, Anthony Micheal Rome; her paternal grandparents, Francis J. Rome II and Irene Alligood; her Paw, Danny Garner.

Kristen was a beautiful social butterfly as she attended Bogalusa High School, where she made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed trade work such as carpentry, painting, and any hands-on work. She also enjoyed photography and had the honor of having several of her photographs featured in exhibits at local New Orleans art galleries.

Kristen is survived by her daughter, October Dawn Rome; her stepdaughter, Chloe Lynn Marie Freeman; close nephew, Anthony Domonick Rome; mother, and stepfather, April Dawn Rome and Kris Short; brother, Christopher “CJ” Rome (Natalie Zito); maternal grandmother, Cheri C. Sumrall; her maw, Sandra Kaye Garner; several aunts, uncles, cousins; a loving and chosen family including Allinson Hobgood, Crystal Hoffman, Steven Brown, and countless others.

Funeral service Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment – Gerald McDonald Cemetery.
