Wilton "Bud" Lebo
July 22, 1945 - October 5, 2023
Wilton "Bud" Lebo, age 78 and a resident of Mount Hermon, passed away Thursday night October 5, 2023 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington. He was retired from the Washington Correctional Institute, now Rayburn Correctional Center, with 27 years of service. Bud was a longtime member of Mount Hermon United Pentecostal Church. He was well known in the community for growing high quality Jubilee watermelons which he did for over 40 years. Bud also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, raising beef cattle and fox hunting.
Survived by: Wife of 55 years: Elizabeth Ann Fortenberry Lebo; 4 Sons and Daughters in law: Gerald and LeeAnna Lebo, Michael and Amy Lebo, Justin and Jennifer Lebo, Jordan Lebo; 9 Grandchildren: Nathan Lebo, Corbin Boyd, Jared Lebo, Regan Lee, Addisyn Lebo, Jaden Lebo, Hayden Lebo, Eli Lebo, Luke Lebo; 2 Great-grandchildren: Rylie Lee, Lainey Lee; Brothers in law: Tommy Ravencraft, Wayne Walker; Special Friend: Thomas Welch; Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilford Lebo and Elvie Watson Lebo, brother Billy Lebo, sisters Wilkie “Sally “ Barnes, Charlene Ravencraft, Maxine Walker, granddaughter Meaghan Lebo and other family members.
Visitation will be at Mt. Hermon Pentecostal Church (35051 Sunny Hill Road, Mt. Hermon) on Tuesday October 10th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Tuesday with Rev. Randall Garcia and Rev. Myron Schilling officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
