Carole Ann Lawrence Sumrall
December 19, 1949 - October 12, 2023
Carole Ann Lawrence Sumrall, age 73, passed away on October 12, 2023 at Ochsner Main in Jefferson, Louisiana. Mrs. Sumrall was a resident of Franklinton, LA and a member of Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and listening to gospel music.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Mr. Donzil “Donnie” Sumrall; two sons: Donald Craig Sumrall and Kevin Patrick Sumrall; two grandchildren: April Ard and Braylee Sumrall; three great-grandchildren: Vivian, Declan, and Sebastian; two sisters: Linda Christian and Anita Louise Winn; and a brother-in-law: Ed Winn; and a host of other family and friends.
Mrs. Carole was preceded in death by her parents: Johnny and Hazel Lawrence; a daughter: Barbara Sumrall; one brother: Charles Lawrence; and a daughter-in-law: Joanie Barbara Sumrall; one brother-in-law: Freeman Christian; her maternal grandparents: Charles and Genera “Ba-Ba” McCharen; and paternal grandparents: John and Lucy Lawrence.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date.
