Howard Gregory Miley

March 6, 1949 - October 1, 2023

Howard Gregory Miley, age 74, a resident of Jackson, LA, and formerly of McComb, MS, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his fellow veterans on October 1, 2023, at the Louisiana War Veterans Home.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM.  Dr. David Millican will officiate.

Greg was born on March 6, 1949, in Bogalusa, LA to Howard Miley and Elizabeth Brock Miley. Greg was drafted into the Army at 20 in December of 1969 and served until February of 1971. He completed a tour in Vietnam. He loved racing, the outdoors brought him joy spending time hunting and fishing. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bridget Miley, and a sister Claudia Crain.

He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Norman of McComb, a son Howard Miley, Jr. of McComb, granddaughters Marleigh Norman and Summer Townsend Miley, a sister Deborah Peterson of Bogalusa, LA, a brother-in-law Will Crain of Bogalusa, LA, nephews Troy Crain (Candy) of Bogalusa, LA, Brock Adams of Magnolia, and Barrett Adams of Baton Rouge, LA, along with numerous other relatives and friends. 

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson, LA for the loving care they gave to Mr. Greg during his stay with them.
