Ronald Ellis Williams

Ronald Ellis Williams, age 81 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Thursday night October 5, 2023 at his home. He was a longtime truck driver for several companies through the years, with the CB handle “Cannonball”. Ronald drove cross-country for many years, going to every state in the union and more recently drove local and nearby routes. He enjoyed mowing his yard and listening to his favorite 50s rock and roll. Ronald loved watching old Western movies and TV shows, especially his favorite Gunsmoke.
Survived by: Wife of 60 years: Verlie Davis Williams of Franklinton; 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Ronnie Williams of Franklinton, Josh and Stephanie Williams of Madisonville; Daughter and Son in law: Tammy and David Kehoe of Franklinton; Grandchildren: Cody Williams, Jessica Williams, Cole Kehoe; Great-grandchildren: Addy Williams, Barrett Williams; Bothers in law and Sisters in law: Rodney and Glenda Davis, Sandy and Mickey Lee, Betty and Bit Brewer, Mary Nell Ryals; Also numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents Matthew Williams and Effie Creal Williams, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and other family members.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday October 9th in the Williams Cemetery with Rev. Leon Hickman officiating.
