The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is asking the public's assistance in locating a missing person, 52 year-old Stephen J. Cottier of Hammond.
Sheriff Daniel Edwards says Cottier was last seen on October 13, 2023 and was last heard from on October 14, 2023, when he sent a text message to a friend saying he was returning to Hammond from the Covington area, but never returned.
Cottier was known to be driving a blue Ford F-150, with Louisiana license plate Z517286, and has since been seen on Highway 40 in the Uneedus area, which is near the Tangipahoa / St. Tammany Parish line.
