Marilynn Simmons Singleton Gibson

April 14, 1936 - September 18, 2023

Marilynn Simmons Singleton Gibson, a a resident of Franklinton, passed away peacefully at her home Monday morning September 18, 2023. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Miller Ford, Borden’s, Inc., and later at Magee Financial in Franklinton before retiring. Marilynn attended Hillcrest Baptist Church and loved to read. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and cross-stitch, making many different items for her family and others through the years. Marilynn also enjoyed listening to music and playing the piano. She loved baking cakes and other delicious sweets and making several types of jellys and jams. Marilynn was always a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Ramona Singleton and Victor Harrison of Eureka Springs, AR; Grandchildren: Crystal Singleton and Craig Jackson, Darryl Singleton all of Franklinton; Great-grandchildren: Glador and Mallory Singleton and their son Hayzen, Blake Jenkins, Ava Jenkins, Bentley Singleton, Joey Jenkins, II, Legion Singleton; Sister and Brother in law: Ann and Phil Petras of Greenwell Springs, LA; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members

She was preceded in death by her sons Donnie Singleton and Darryl Singleton, husbands Donald Wayne Singleton, Jack Gibson, father Van Simmons, mother Melba Parker Monk, sister Kathy Cascio, brothers Jimmy Simmons, Paul Simmons.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday September 22nd from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stan Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Cemetery.
