Melvin Garrett, Jr.
July 20, 1954 - September 17, 2023
Mr. Melvin Garrett, Jr. passed away at the age of 68 on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton, La.
He was born to the union of the late elder Melvin, Sr. and Lillie Mae. Melvin Jr. was the oldest of five children.
Melvin was a graduate of Franklinton High School. He loved to travel and he worked with the traveling fair for many years. He loved being with family and friends. Through all of his sickness he managed to continue to smile and live his life to fullest.
He leaves to cherish his memories his brothers, George (Deborah) Garrett, Mike (Sylvia) Garrett; sisters, Terri Garrett and Vicky Patterson; one uncle; five aunts; a host of nieces; nephews cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ervin Garrett.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 9:00AM - 11:00AM followed by funeral service at 11:00AM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terrence August - Officiating. Interment - Winan Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
