Fugitive out of Mississippi Located in Slidell

Michael Williams, age 34 and a fugitive out of Mississippi, was located at a Slidell-area truck stop Thursday (August 31, 2023) and was taken into custody.

Detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Proactive Enforcement Unit were conducting proactive patrols and observed Williams in the parking lot. Williams was known to have an outstanding warrant through the Lamar County Sheriff's Office in Mississippi for multiple narcotics violations. He was taken into custody without incident.

While searching Williams, detectives located approximately 12.5 grams of fentanyl, 0.5 grams of methamphetamine, 14 clonazepam tablets and approximately 8 grams of marijuana.

Williams was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center as a fugitive and on the charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II (fentanyl), Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine), and Possession of Schedule IV (clonazepam).
