Slidell Police reports that yesterday morning (August 3, 2023), Slidell Police Officer Joshua Feraci located a stolen vehicle near Gause Boulevard and Front Street. Sometime yesterday, the vehicle was reported stolen from the State of Indiana.
When the Officer Feraci attempted to stop the stolen car, the driver 33 year-old Randal Tuck of Covington refused to stop and fled from officers. Tuck led officers on a chase through North Slidell and ultimately crashed the stolen vehicle into a fence near the Slidell Airport. Tuck and his girlfriend, 28 year-old Haley Maddox from Dale, Indiana, were taken into custody.
Officers located methamphetamine inside of the vehicle, as well as a realistic looking revolver, which turned out to be a BB gun. The couple also had a puppy inside of the vehicle, which was unharmed. The puppy was taken for safekeeping to Slidell Animal Control. The Louisiana State Police and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted during the chase.
Randall Tuck was charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway, Driving Under Suspension, Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Haley Maddox was charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
