William Homer Wilson

February 21, 1950 - July 28, 2023

William Homer Wilson was born February 21, 1950 to the union of Theadore (Pete) and Willie J.Merrell Wilson of Franklinton LA, We are heartbroken that he passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on July 28, 2023 at 5:51 pm. 

Homer Wilson was born in Franklinton LA. where he attended Washington Parish School. He participated in football, track and field, and baseball. He later went on to move to Houston Tx. were he worked at Drew Chemical Plant until returning back to Franklinton LA. were he retired from Construction as a Rod Buster. Homer also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching his favorite football team, the New Orleans Saints. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Homer was most known for his humble, caring, and giving heart. Even if he was a man of few words, his loving acts of kindness spoke volumes to those around him. Homer was the middle child of eleven siblings whom he left to cherish his precious memories (Siblings) Flora and Lisa Wilson of Houston Tx. and Alam Hart (sister girl) of Franklinton LA, and Donald (Don) Wilson of Missouri City Tx, and Phillip Tate of Franklinton LA. Homer also leaves precious memories to his Five beloved children Demetrius (Melissa) Wilson and Tisha Wilson, Ultrianna (Keis) Hamilton, Jaquonis (Jercovia) Thompson, and Khatia Wilson. He also leaves in precious memories fourteen (14) granddaughters Kiara, Sierra Wilson, T’Ahshany, Malanee Grant, Kamaria, Ashley, Kennedy Wilson, and Dasha Williams, McKinnly, and McKayla Hamilton, Justyce and Jaliyah Coates, and Journee Thompson, and Haven Beal, and three (3) grandsons Demetrius II, Khalil Wilson, and Kaiden Hamilton, and four (4) great grandchildren: Bailee Hall, Nova, Kennedy Dream, Wilson and Bella Binder. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Homer Wilson is preceded in death by his daughter Latanya Wilson. Parents: Theadore and Willie J. Wilson. Brothers: Rapheal (Ray), James (Larry), Rushell Sr. Wilson, also sisters Bennie R. Davis, and Barbara S. Daniels.

Viewing will be Saturday August 12, 2023 from 9AM - 11AM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be held  Saturday August 12, 2023 at Crain and Son Funeral Home Chapel Franklinton, LA. Internment will be held at Merrell Toomer Cemetery Franklinton, LA.
