Rena Robinson

May 29, 1948 - August 13, 2023

Rena Robinson was born to L.H. and Ophelia Burton on May 29, 1948, in Bassfield Ms. She departed this life August 13, 2023, at Lakeview Hospital in Covington LA. She was educated at Todd Memorial School in Poplarville MS. Rena attended the Glorious Church of Whitesand Ms. under the leadership of Elder W.J.  Wilson until she met and married Dewitt Robinson Jr. on April 25,1965. Upon marrying Dewitt Robinson Jr, she moved to Franklinton LA. and joined Lighthouse Pentecostal Church under the leadership of the late Apostal Jimmy Robinson, where she remained a member until she transitioned from this earthy life.

Rena was married to Overseer Dewitt Robinson Jr. for 48 years until his passing on April 7, 2013. To their union were born three beautiful children Lawrence Sr., Norman, and LaShun. As parents Rena and Overseer Dewitt Robinson Jr. took pride in raising their children with the admonition of the Lord. 

She leaves to cherish her memory of 2 devoted children Norman (Sharelle), LaShun (Jarome), Grandchildren: Lawrence Jr (Fiancé Jessica), Amber (Archie), Chansellor Sr. (Teyonna), Jacob. 11 great- Grandchildren Zachariah, Chansellor Jr, Khari, Laiyla, Za’kyleigh, Za’Khari, Chassidy, Landon, Za’mia, Jari, Chasten.  Sister Margret Thomas, Brother L.H. Burton Sr. of Poplaville, Robert Burton of Houston, Tx. 

She is preceded in death by parents Ophelia, and L.H. Burton, late husband Overseer Dewitt Robinson Jr, Three sisters Ida Nell Trotter, Willena Murray, Clementine Trotter, Joann Sonier, One brother Tony Burton and her beloved son Lawrence Nebraska Robinson Sr.

Drive Through Viewing will be Friday August 18, 2023 from 3:00PM - 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home- Franklinton

A funeral will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 3:00PM at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. Interment will be held at Wilson Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton, LA are in charge of arrangements.
