Judith Ann Moore Rabuffo

August 11, 1939 - August 24, 2023

Judith Ann Moore Rabuffo, age 84 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Thursday night August 24, 2023 at her home. She was born in Fort Worth, TX on August 11, 1939 and with her father’s federal government service, the family moved often around to different areas around the United States, even living on military bases in Japan and Taiwan for a time. Judy attended Georgetown University School of Nursing before becoming a Registered Nurse. She worked in areas around the Northeastern states before moving to Franklinton to care for family members. Judy continued to work as a nurse for several years in the long term care industry before retiring in 1998. She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary. Judy was also a Eucharistic minister within the church. She was previously on the Board of Directors for the Varnado Store Museum and the Washington Parish Library system, as Judy was an avid reader including her favorite Shakespeare. She also enjoyed listening to classical music and traveling, going to visit family in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont many times.

She is survived by: 3 Children and Spouses: Mark and Mary Rabuffo of North Branford, CT, Paul Rabuffo and Nicole Crocker of Sutton, MA, Courtney Rabuffo and John Roberts of North Hero, VT; Grandchildren: Molly Rabuffo, Julia Rabuffo, Zachary Rabuffo, Megan and Tyler Banker, Michael Rabuffo; An expected first great-granddaughter; Brother and Sister in law: John and Launo Moore, their sons Bryan, Brooks, Bobby and their families; Special Cousins: Jojan Moore Miller, Kelly Moore Darbonne and their families; Also numerous other nieces, nephews and many dear friends

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Butler Moore and Hester Tomme Moore, sister Bobbie Elizabeth Moore, granddaughter Anna Judith Rabuffo, cousins Jan Moore Jenkins, Duke and Marilyn Moore.

Visitation will be at Holy Family Catholic Church (1220 14th Avenue, Franklinton, LA 70438) on Thursday August 31st from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Thursday with Father Peter Hammett officiating. Burial will follow in the Saint Joseph’s Abbey Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to Holy Family Church, at the address above, or the American Lung Association (www.lung.org).
