Jack "Jesse" Thomas

January 21, 1965 - August 21, 2023

Jack “Jesse” Thomas, age 58, passed away at his home in Angie, LA, on August 21, 2023. Jesse was a lifetime resident of Washington Parish and a graduate of Bogalusa High School Class of 1983. He spent most of his life working as a tree surgeon, often called “the treeman”, and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. Of all outdoor activities, he enjoyed hunting and fishing the most.

Jesse is survived by his parents: Jack H. and Janice Thomas; two sisters: Tammy Thomas Crain (Johnny Crain, Jr.); niece: Janna Crain; and Nephew Johnny Crain III (Marissa Magee); great-nephew: John Robert Crain IV and great-niece: Stone Brooke Crain; Veronica Thomas; nieces: , Jessica Thomas (Cody Breland) great-nephew: Jace Carter Breland; Jennifer Cook (Josh Fortenberry); nephews: Wesley Cook, Jep Bonnette (Bridget Boyles), and John Ray Bonnette; one son: Justin Thomas (Taylor); three grandchildren: Emmorie Jean Thomas, Talon Matthew Thomas, and Rouyea Kace; and a step-daughter: Leah Schmitz; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Jack J. and Josephine Thomas; maternal grandparents: Sampson and Edith Thomas; and two special cousins: Lil Ronnie Thomas and Eddie Thomas.

Pallbearers are as follows: Johnny Crain III, Samuel Wade Thomas, Chad Thomas, Thomas Penton, Don Thomas, and Brandon Penton.

Honorary Pallbearers: Wesley Cook, Richard Thomas, David Thomas, and Jeff Thomas.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. On Saturday, August 26, 2023, visitation will start at 11AM until time of service at 3PM. Services will be officiated by Bro. Kelly Penton. Interment will immediately follow services at Thomas Cemetery in Bush, LA.
