Milton Stuart

July 26, 1950 - August 29, 2023

With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Milton Stuart. He was a cherished father, brother, and grandfather, departing from this world on August 29, 2023, at the age of 73. Born on July 26, 1950, in Franklinton, Louisiana to devoted parents Reverend Douglas and Mildred Stuart, Milton’s legacy of love, kindness, and treasured memories will forever reside in our hearts.

Milton was a person of great kindness and generosity. His warm smile and empathetic disposition had a profound impact on many individuals. As a dedicated member of the Antioch Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Long Beach, Mississippi, he took delight in communal bonding and consistently demonstrated the principles of Christianity by assisting those who required help. His enthusiasm for aiding missionaries abroad was truly remarkable.

Throughout his life’s journey, Milton gracefully and unassumingly took on numerous roles. He wholeheartedly embraced the position of a dedicated father, guiding his children with love and wisdom. As a sibling, he established bonds that went beyond mere family ties, offering unwavering support and honest perspectives. Those around him found solace and strength simply in his presence. Milton’s warmth extended across generations, as he filled the roles of both a grandfather and great-grandfather, showering his family with affection and crafting treasured memories to endure the passage of time.

Milton’s spirit was intrinsically connected to nature. He felt the call of the outdoors and answered with profound appreciation for the world’s beauty. Whether casting his fishing line into the waters, finding serenity in Smoky Mountain National Park, or exploring the aisles of Bass Pro Shops, he discovered happiness and tranquility in God’s creation.

Milton is survived by his daughter Carey and her husband Vance of Mobile, along with granddaughter Malerie and her husband Russell of Mobile, grandson Jay and his wife Gracie of Mobile, Grandson Kelby and his wife Autumn of Savannah, grandson Grayson of Denham Springs, granddaughter Alana of Denham Springs, brother Mike and his wife Deborah of Denham Springs, brother Glenn and his wife Lana of Pine, sister Jackie and her husband Freddie of Franklinton, sister Judith of Pine, and son Codie and his wife Summer of Denham Springs. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Marlee, Mavrick, and Flori, as well as various nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Preceding him in death are his parents Douglas and Mildred Stuart, and his beloved daughter Buffey.

Although Milton has departed physically, his spirit will forever endure in the hearts and minds of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul find eternal peace with Jesus and may our solace come from the cherished memories we hold close.
