Ruth Muse

February 22, 1931 - July 10, 2023

Ruth B. Muse was born February 22, 1931 in Hackley to the late Mr. Latimore and Mrs. Harriet Hart Brumfield. On the night of July 10,2023 at 11:00 pm the angels came to and carried her to rest in the arms of The Lord in heaven at Rest Haven Living Center in Bogalusa, La.

At an early age she joined Metropolitan Baptist Church in Bogalusa, La. Later in life she Joined Sweet Beulah Baptist Church where she served until her health failed. She also worked in the Bogalusa School System as custodian.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, one grandson, her father and mother, three sisters, and four brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memories one grandson that she raised, Ronald Muse, and fiancé Anjelyca of Houston, Texas. A special devoted and faithful friend and caretaker Mr. Willie Short and 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. One brother Mr. Charles R. Odessa Brumfield of Houma, La; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon followed by the funeral service  12:00 Noon at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel 809 East Third Street; Bogalusa, LA 70427 with Rev. Nolan Robinson - Officiating. Interment will be held at the Bogalusa Cemetery.  

Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
