Clyde "Rollon" Courtney

September 15, 1954 - July 11, 2023

On July 11, 2023, Mr. Clyde “Rollon” Courtney, born September 15, 1954, passed away in his home after a long battle with illness. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a life-long resident of Bogalusa. He is known for his singing and playing his guitar. Rollon was always willing to lend a helping hand and assist anyone in need.

He is survived by his devoted daughter: April Sheridan (Wayne); twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother: Toye D. Courtney (Dianne); a sister: Buffie Anglin (William “Biff”); a sister-in-law: Patricia “Pat” Courtney; and a special friend and caregiver: Charlotte Arceneaux.

Rollon was preceded in death by two sons: Clyde Adam Courtney and Craig Rollon Courtney; his father: Frank Courtney; his mother: Wilma Pounds; and one brother: Tracey Courtney.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. On Friday, July 21, 2023, a memorial visitation will be held from 2PM until 4PM.
