Robert Johnson

September 27, 1979 - July 2, 2023

On July 2, 2023, Mr. Robert Johnson passed away at the University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. He was born on September 27, 1979 in Loranger, LA to the late Mrs. Sherry Walker Johnson. He was a life-long resident of Bogalusa, LA, where he started off as a contractor and then advanced to owning his own business, R & T Maintenance. Robert enjoyed many things in life including woodworking and listening to music. He was an avid water skier that started from a love of the water as a young child. He was the brother of the late Mr. Nick Johnson.

Robert is survived by his wife: Tracy Galloway Johnson; one son: Julius “JJ” Johnson; his father: Julius “Alffie” Johnson; one sister: Amy Johnson Miller; one aunt: Virginia Johnson Atchley; one uncle: Ray Johnson; a special friend: Roger McCarthy; several cousins; and a host of friends, who he loved as family.

On Saturday, July 22, 2023, a memorial service will be held at Poole’s Bluff Pavilion starting at 10AM, followed by a final boat ride. Family and friends are invited back to the Galloway-Johnson camp for refreshments and fellowship. Family has requested to honor Robert’s memory by wearing “summer and/or river-rat” attire.
