Franklinton Man Accused of Crimes Against an Infirmed Person

The Franklinton Police Department has reported the arrest today (July 20, 2023) of 36 year-old Chad Martin Hensley, a resident of Lee Street in Franklinton, after a month long investigation. 

Officers with the Franklinton Police Department, assisted by deputies with the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office, conducted a search warrant which resulted in the arrest of Hensley on warrants for Exploitation of the Infirmed, Illegal Transmission of Monetary Funds (8 counts), Identity Theft (2 counts), and Theft (felony over $5000). 

Sergeant Trey Johnson led the investigation which began after receiving a complaint regarding a theft from an infirmed person. Sgt. Johnson requests any person having knowledge of this case or information where an elderly or infirmed person's identity is being fraudulently used, should contact him at FPD.

Chief Brown commended the work of Sergeant Johnson and noted the investigation is still ongoing. Additional charges are expected as the case progresses.
